This form is also one of the 1st to come directly from China when Chinese Wushu was just starting to unfurl their wings in the West in the 1980's. Although the fundamental movement is straight forward, it is in the interchange of the High and Low stances that the footwork shows it's Tiger and Crane origins. It is the Hand techniques that include some complex and interesting combinations.
The original form as it was taught was a bit less involved but still good. Shaolin Academy members though made some interesting altercations for competitions. As we only recorded competition events not our regular training in the late 80's and 90's, this is all that we have of the form. Both Sifu Wayne and Sifu Sarah were Australian Form Champions with this form in the mid, end 90's.
